Game Keys - Memphis scored six in the bottom of the first inning and held on to defeat the Zephyrs 8-6 on Thursday at Autozone Park. The loss is New Orleans fifth in a row. New Orleans starter Ruddy Lugo struggled to throw strikes and lasted one and a third innings allowing six runs on four hits and four walks and takes the loss. The Redbirds led 3-0 in the first when catcher Brian Anderson drilled his first home run of the season over the left center field wall, a three run blast. 21-year-old Jaime Garcia worked into the seventh inning and struck out ten hitters earning the win for the Redbirds, The Z's had a late comeback to get into the game as Jesus Feliciano drove in a pair and Valentino Pascucci drilled a solo homer in the eighth inning. Kelvin Jimenez pitched a perfect ninth to earn the save for the streaking Redbirds, who have won four in a row.

Game Notes: The 13 strikeouts by the Z's hitters matches a season high. Robinson Cancel returned to the Z's on Thursday, he was reassigned by the Mets. In five games with New York he was 6x18 with a homer and three RBI. Coming Up: The Zephyrs continue the four game roadtrip on Friday night in Memphis. The Z's will start RH Brian Stokes (7-6, 4.23) and he matches up with Memphis RH Clayton Mortensen (2-1, 3.42).
