Duff and Morrissey Reassigned to Arkansas, Czarniecki Joins Bee

SALT LAKE CITY (June 26, 2008) - The Salt Lake Bees announced today that the club has reassigned catcher Tim Duff and infielder Adam Morrissey to double-A Arkansas and recalled outfielder Jordan Czarniecki from the Travelers.

Duff, 26, appeared in 17 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .231 with three doubles and three RBI. He has appeared in 27 games for the Travelers this season, hitting .253 with three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI. The Coatesville, Pa. native signed with the Angels as a nondrafted free agent in 2004.

Morrissey, 26, appeared in 28 games for the Bees in 2008, hitting .281 with six doubles, five home runs and 13 RBI. He hit .289 with five doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI in 25 games for the Travelers this season. Originally signed by the Chicago Cubs in 1999, the Gosford, Australia native signed as a free agent with the Angels prior to the 2007 season.

Czarniecki, 27, hit .296 with 14 doubles, three triples, six home runs, 23 RBI and nine stolen bases in 62 games for the Travelers in 2008. His first game with the Bees will be his triple-A debut. The Anderson, Ind. native signed as a free agent with the Angels prior to the 2008 season after six years in the Colorado Rockies organization.
