Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

OMAHA, NE - Tomorrow night, for the first time since June 8th, Rosenblatt Stadium will be the site of professional baseball as the Omaha Royals return from a 16-game road trip. The Royals host the Oklahoma RedHawks in a four-game, three-day series. The home stand features a rare split, day-night doubleheader on Saturday, including a George Brett statue giveaway. The weekend is also highlighted by a special jersey auction Sunday to help with the rebuilding effort of the Little Sioux Scout Ranch. Here's a rundown of all the promotions:

Friday, June 27, 7:05 p.m.: The series opener is highlighted by Werner Enterprises Fireworks following the game, which is also presented by 99.9 KGOR, KETV and The City Weekly! Also, it's another U.S. Cellular Dreams Come True night, when one lucky fan who signed up at a U.S. Cellular store gets to be on field for the Royals batting practice, throw out a ceremonial first pitch and be the public address announcer for an inning of the game!

Saturday, June 28, 12:05 p.m.: This is the first game of a split, day-night doubleheader, with separate admission for each contest. When stadium gates open at 11:00 a.m., the first 1,500 fans will receive a George Brett statue, courtesy of ConAgra Foods! Prior to this season, Brett was chosen by Royals fans in an online poll at www.oroyals.com as their favorite Omaha Royals player of the 1970's.

Saturday, June 28, between games: Enjoy the FREE Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest! Produced by Entertainment & Sports International, this 4,000-square foot area - set up just outside Rosenblatt's front gates - features more than 20 baseball-themed attractions! Those include a midway with batting and pitching cages, bungee runs, a giant slide and bounce houses. Also featured: an Xbox 360 video game trailer, a minor league baseball museum and much more! Plus, between games, enjoy the band "Happy Together" as it performs 60's-era classics!

Saturday, June 28, 7:05 p.m.: The second game of the split doubleheader is highlighted by the world-renowned mascot Rally performing throughout the contest, presented by Southwest Airlines. Saturday's twin bill is also brought to you by 1620 The Zone, Radio Disney, The Big O 101.9, WOWT and The City Weekly!

Sunday, June 29, 1:35 p.m.: Celebrate 40 seasons of "Fun for Everyone" on this 40th scheduled Royals home game of 2008 and help raise money for a good cause! The Royals players will wear replica 1969 jerseys, which will be auctioned to fans to help with the rebuilding of the Little Sioux Scout Ranch devastated by a deadly tornado earlier this month. Each jersey will feature a Boy Scouts tribute patch on its sleeve and will be autographed by the player who wore it. General Admission tickets and select concession items will be marked down to 1969-era prices and the ballpark's atmosphere will reflect the Royals' inaugural '69 season. It's also U.S. Bank Family FUNday, with clowns, face painting and kids invited to run the bases after the game, also presented by KGBI-100.7 FM and KPTM-Fox 42. All Royals Kids Club members receive a FREE ticket to the game, courtesy of SUBWAY! Plus, any fan bringing an Our Family Brand food item to the stadium gets a FREE General Admission ticket to the contest!
