OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma -- Doug Sessions, Brandon Puffer, and Mike Venafro combined on a five-hit shutout as the New Orleans Zephyrs blanked the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, 7-0 on Thursday Night in Colorado Springs.

Sessions (6-3) who leads the Pacific Coast League with a 2.61 ERA, yielded all five hits, struck out two and walked just one to win for the first time in five starts. He threw a shutout on June 14 in his last start vs. Colorado Springs. Jason Lane finished with two hits, including a double to drive in two runs, and Henri Stanley, who has reached safely in 24 straight games, had three hits and scored twice for New Orleans, which has won four of five.

Cory Vance (8-9) was hit for seven runs and 11 hits in five innings of work to get tagged with the loss for the Sky Sox, who have dropped eight of their last 11.

The Zephyrs continue the four game series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox in Colorado Springs on Thursday at 1:35 PM. Randy Keisler (6-3, 3.94) is scheduled to start for the Zephyrs and former Zephyr Scott Elarton (2-6, 5.73) for the Sky Sox. The Z's are 6-4 on the current 12 game road trip and trail Nashville by four games in the PCL Eastern Division.
