Colorado Springs, Colorado â The Colorado Springs Sky Sox defeated the New Orleans Zephyrs 8 to 5 on Thursday afternoon in Colorado Springs.
Former Zephyr Scott Elarton (3-6) picked up the win for the Sky Sox while Randy Keisler (6-4) suffered the loss for the Zephyrs. Brad Clontz picked up his 25th save of the season as Willie Morales hit his fourth home run of the year off Keisler in the sixth inning. Kyle Logan hit his third home run on the campaign in a losing effort off Elarton in the fourth inning.
The Zephyrs conclude the four game series and 12 game road trip on Friday at 8:05 PM. against the Sky Sox. is scheduled to start for the Zephyrs and for the Sky Sox. The Z's are 6-5 on the current 12 game road trip. Friday's game can be heard on WTIX-AM 690 and at www.zephyrsbaseball.com with Tim Grubbs and calling the action.
