Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The New Orleans Zephyrs shut down the Sky Sox Wednesday night 7-0 behind the pitching of Doug Sessions. Sessions pitched 7 innings allowing 0 runs and 5 hits walking only 1 and striking out 2. Sox starter Cory Vance struggled again, giving up 11 hits and 7 runs in 5 innings. Mark Sweeney was the lone Sky Sox to record 2 hit, going 2-4, as the sox offense could only manage 5 hit on the evening. The Sox and Zephyrs face each other again on Thursday afternoon at 12:35 with the Sox sending Scott Elarton (2-6, 5.73) against the Zephyrs Randy Keisler (6-3, 3.94).
