Round Rock Express News Release

Gustavo Martinez and three relievers combined to limit the Round Rock Express to one run on seven hits and the San Antonio Missions put up all their runs in the late innings in a 4-1 victory Thursday night.

Round Rock broke through against Martinez for a run when an error allowed Mike Coolbaugh to score and give the Express a 1-0 lead. With starter Nick Roberts rolling through the San Antonio lineup, Round Rock was in tenuous control.

However, the first place Missions finally got to Roberts for a pair of runs in the sixth and to Jory Coughenour for another two in the eighth. Greg Jacobs drove two of the four runs.

In between Roberts and Coughenour, Greg Miller provided a near dominating option out of the bullpen. He threw 1.2 innings and struck out four.

Martinez (6-2) was the winner and Roberts (1-5) took the loss.
