
Zephyrs Get Rocked in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, TX - The Express pounded three home runs and won their fourth in a row defeating the Zephyrs 15-6 in front of 9,502 at The Dell Diamond.
Chad Tracy, Chris Davis and Brad Nelson each hit home runs and the Express offense scored in five of their eight at bats in the win. Tracy had 4 RBI and the three run home run in the fourth inning that helped the Express pull away.
Eric Hurley pitched seven innings allowing 5 runs on 8 hits and improved to 4-0 on the season. Zephyr starter Elih Villanueva walked 5 and allowed 8 runs on 8 hits in 4.1 innings and lost for the eighth time this year.
The Zephyrs rallied and scored six runs on 13 hits in the game. The Z's added three home runs in the game. Matt Dominguez, Brad Davis and Chris Agulia each went deep. Dominguez and Aguila went back to back, the first time this season.
Mike Cervenak went 0x4 at the plate snapping a 14 game hit streak. The streak was the longest this season by a Zephyr.
The Zephyrs have dropped four in a row on the trip and are now 2-4 and have fallen 12 games back of first place Round Rock. The Z's have dropped 22 of their last 29 road contests.
Game Notes - Elih Villanueva has not won a start since May 13, he has 5 losses and six no decisions in that span. The Zephyrs placed reliever Frank Mata on the disabled list and have added Darin Downs from Jacksonville. Downs was 2-5 with a 4.83 ERA with the Suns.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs and Express meet in the third of a four game set. New Orleans will start RH Tom Koehler (6-6, 5.44) against Express RH Ryan Tucker (1-2, 4.68). RADIO: WMTI 106.1 FM.
