
Zephyrs Fall To Sky Sox

New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
The New Orleans Zephyrs fell to the visiting Colorado Springs Sky Sox on Friday by a score of 12-5.
Starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez (3-3) gave up four runs on nine hits in 5.2 innings to get a victory for the Sky Sox.
First baseman Joe Koshansky led the way for the visitors offensively, going 2-5 with three RBI and a run scored.
Zephyrs starting pitcher Brian Lawrence (1-2) recorded the loss after giving up seven runs (five earned) on nine hits in only four innings of play.
The Zephyrs got another strong effort from second baseman Jake Gautreau in the losing cause. Gautreau went 2-4 and scored a run. Shortstop Anderson Hernandez went 4-5 with two RBI and a run scored as well.
The teams split the series 2-2 overall. The Zephyrs will finish off their homestand with a four-game set against the Salt Lake Bees beginning on Saturday in a game scheduled for 6:00 PM CT.
