Oklahoma City Comets News Release

Oklahoma City native and former New York Yankee great Bobby Murcer will appear at tonight's Oklahoma RedHawks game to throw out the first pitch before the 7:05 p.m. contest with the Salt Lake Bees at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.

Murcer, a graduate of Southeast High School who enjoyed a 17-year major league career with three teams, also visited The Brick April 13 for the home opener but was unable to throw out the first pitch because the game was rained out.

Murcer returned to his duties last month as a New York Yankee television broadcaster after being treated for a brain tumor discovered last season.

Fireworks will follow tonight's game. The RedHawks' 12-game homestand continues through June 10.
