Oklahoma City Comets News Release

The Oklahoma RedHawks will honor the memory of the late Col. Dr. Brian Allgood and raise money for a University of Oklahoma Medical School scholarship in his name at the RedHawks' 7:05 pm game against Colorado Springs on Saturday, June 2 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.

Allgood, first cousin of RedHawks Executive Director John Allgood, was the allies' top medical officer in Iraq when he was killed in the line of duty in January. Col. Allgood was a University of Oklahoma Medical School graduate who called Oklahoma home.

A silent auction will be conducted on Saturday starting when the gates open at 5:30 pm to raise money for a scholarship to be awarded to a student in need attending the University of Oklahoma Medical School.

Silent auction items include a Sammy Sosa autographed bat and a Bob Stoops autographed helmet and football. Members of the OU Medical Foundation will be on hand to accept donations.
