Strong pitching again ruled the day, as the Zephyrs got their second-straight one-run win over the visiting Albuquerque Isotopes with a final of 1-0 on Saturday. Starting pitcher Willie Collazo (2-1) got the win for the Zephyrs as he went 6.2 innings and gave up no runs and only four hits.
Reliever Nate Field picked up his fourth save of the year after giving up only one hit and striking out two batters in the ninth inning.
On a night where the Zephyrs won despite being out-hit, the offensive star again was right fielder Valentino Pascucci, who's second inning home run was the difference in the game. The homer was Pascucci's ninth on the year and second-straight after giving the Zephyrs the win on Friday with a 10th-inning walk-off blast.
Albuquerque starting pitcher Bobby Keppel (6-3) got the loss after giving up four hits and the Pascucci homer in seven innings.
With the Zephyrs taking a 2-0 lead in the series, the teams will face off again on Sunday in a game scheduled for 2:00 PM CT.
