
Zephyrs Bullpen Club Names Fatheree and Zinter Winners of First Awards

METAIRIE â The New Orleans Zephyrs official booster club, The Bullpen Club, has named Alan Zinter Most Valuable Player for the 2003 season and Danny "Tank" Fatheree the Most Inspirational Player for 2003. This is the first year for the awards and the Bullpen Club will give out the awards on an annual basis. The Most Inspirational Player Award will be renamed the Tank Award in honor of Fatheree.
Zinter, 35 from Oro Valley, AZ., leads the Zephyrs with 17 home runs and is second on the team with 54 RBI. Fatheree, 24 from Grand Prairie, TX, is currently on the disabled list and has been diagnosed with Factor II, a hereditary blood-clotting disorder.
