Sox Fall 10-2 to Cubs; Slip 1 Game Out of 1st

The Sky Sox dropped another game to the Iowa Cubs 10-2 on Monday night, slipping 1 game out of 1st in PCL Central. Matt Perisho made his 4th start of the year for the Sox pitching 3.1 innings giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, walking 4 and striking out 1. The Sox bullpen came in and pitched 4.2 poor inning's, allowing 8 runs, 7 earned, on 8 hits. The Sox offense continued to struggle as only 4 Sox players recorded hits. David Newhan and Garrett Atkins each had 3 hits on the nights, tallying 6 of the 8 Sky Sox hits. The Sox and Cubs will face each other again tonight with Jesus Sanchez (2-0, 3.98) taking the mound for the Sox against the Cubs Wilton Chavez (9-7, 4.47).
