
Zephyrs, Beavers Rained out in Portland

The New Orleans Zephyrs and Portland Beavers had Wednesday afternoon's scheduled game rained out in Portland. It is the fourth time on the current road trip the Zephyrs have had a game either delayed or postponed.
The game will be made up on Thursday as part of a doubleheader starting at 6:30 p.m. Central Time. Wednesday's starting pitchers - Rick VandenHurk for the Zephyrs and Will Inman for the Beavers - are scheduled to start the first game, with the Z's sending Hunter Jones to the mound in the nightcap, facing Portland's Josh Geer. Both games can be heard on WMTI 106.1 FM.
The Zephyrs return to town to open an eight-game homestand on Friday when they face the Oklahoma City RedHawks at 7:00 p.m.
