The York Revolution secured their team record third consecutive shutout, and did so again by the slimmest of margins winning their second straight 1-0 game over the Somerset Patriots in front of 8,326 fans at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, NJ on Friday evening. The Revs have won four consecutive games overall, and head into Saturday's contest with a team-record 29-inning scoreless streak intact.

Revs starter Chris Cody (4-5) turned in one of the finest performances of his two-year Revs career, allowing just five base hits in eight scoreless innings, with no walks and five strikeouts.

The biggest threat against Cody came in the bottom of the seventh when Jesse Hoorelbeke led off with a ground rule double, and Yunesky Sanchez sacrificed pinch-runner Dan DeGeorge to third base, but Cody recorded a pair of ground outs to escape unscathed.

Ramon Castro led off the ninth inning with a first pitch home run to left field against Patriots closer Josh Rupe (1-4) for the only run of the game. Castro has driven in the only two runs scored in the series, providing just enough for York to win both games.

R.J. Rodriguez earned his 10th save with a scoreless ninth.

The Revs managed to win despite just four hits, a night after being held to only three hits, their fewest in a victory in club history. York went 0-for-10 with runners in scoring position, and on three occasions had a runner at second base with no outs against Patriots starter Mike MacDonald but failed to score. MacDonald allowed just three hits in seven shutout frames taking a no-decision.

York pulls within 4.5 games of first place Lancaster with the win.
