Winnipeg Goldeyes News Release

WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Goldeyes manager Rick Forney announced today that outfielder Jonathan Wyatt has been traded to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks for a player to be named later.

Wyatt, 26, has been limited to just 23 games this season due to a hamstring injury. He's hitting .261 with a home run and five RBI, but has gone just 2-for-23 at the plate since returning from injury a week ago.

A Northern League All-Star with the Joliet JackHammers last year, Wyatt played four seasons in the Chicago Cubs organization after he was drafted by them in the 13th Round of the 2007 MLB Amateur Draft.

The Goldeyes now have 21 players on their roster, including 12 pitchers and nine position players.

Winnipeg returns to Shaw Park tomorrow night to begin six-game home stand with the first of three against the St. Paul Saints. Game time is 7 p.m.

Great seats for all Goldeyes games are available by visiting any Ticketmaster outlet, clicking on Ticketmaster.ca or by calling 1-855-GOLDEYE.
