Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
Charleston, WV - JThe West Virginia Power captured the series against the Charleston RiverDogs, winning 4-2 in the final regular season matchup between the two clubs. Logan Sendelbach worked seven strong innings and Logan Hill hit a pair of triples to lead the Power to the victory.
The Power got on the board in the first for the third straight game in the series, plating a pair in the opening frame. After Casey Hughston led off with a single, Logan Hill crushed a Luis Cedeno pitch off the center field wall for a triple to give the Power a 1-0 advantage. Daniel Arribas followed with a double down the left field line, driving home Hill to put West Virginia ahead by two.
Logan Sendelbach retired all six batters in the first couple innings, however Charleston tied the game with two runs of their own in the third. Ricardo Ferreira hit a sacrifice fly and Gosuke Katoh lined an RBI triple to center to tie the game 2-2.
Those were the only runs to cross against Sendelbach (8-3) along with four hits through seven innings. It's the third time Sendelbach has gone a season-high seven innings this season and 11th time total by a Power pitcher.
