Carlos Munoz drove in two in the first, Ryan Nagle brought in a run in three different innings and Tyler Filliben capped the scoring with a two-run home run in the top of the fourth. Marten Gasparini's solo home run ended the shutout in the bottom of the fourth and the Legends scored six times in the sixth on three hits and six walks. Lexington scored three in the home half of the eighth to even the score. In the ninth, Ben Johnson doubled, advanced to third on a sac bunt and scored the winning run on a wild pitch. Eric Karch took the loss and Jacob Bodner earned the win. West Virginia took three of four from the Lexington during the series.
SOUTHERN COMFORT: The Power open a seven game homestand tonight against Rome. West Virginia is in the middle of a 14-game run against opponents from the South Atlantic League's Southern Division. The Power will follow this stretch with 15 straight games against Northern Division opponents.
AGRAZAL IN: Dario Agrazal will make his fourth start of the season tonight as the Power host the Braves. The native of Panama earned a win in his first start of the season, allowed five earned runs in a no-decision during the second and pitched six scoreless innings on April 20 against Kannapolis in a no-decision.
ROSTER UPDATE: Jake Burnette was placed on West Virginia's Disabled List Monday. The right-hander is 3-0 this season, but has an earned run average of 7.71 after Sunday's appearance. Burnette faced five batters, walked four, allowed one hit and surrendered four earned runs on Sunday. Infielder Logan Ratledge was promoted to the Power roster from the West Virginia Black Bears. Ratledge was on the initial roster at the outset of the season, but was transferred to the Morgantown roster on April 19 to make room for pitcher Julio Vivas.
TEAM GAME: Through 18 games this season, the Power have laid down 13 sacrifice bunts, which ranks as second most in Minor League Baseball. The Fort Wayne TinCaps have dropped 14 sac bunts this season. West Virginia finished 2015 with the second most in the league, trailing only the Asheville Tourists. Asheville is third this season with 12 so far.
SAY HAYES: Ke'Bryan Hayes has hit safely in six straight games and leads the Power with a .393 average. The six game streak is the longest of his professional career.
STOPPED SUNDAY: Alfredo Reyes was hitless Sunday and his hitting streak ended at ten games. The shortstop went 12 for 35 during the streak with one home run and seven runs batted in. Reyes did walk once Sunday to extend his on-base streak to 13 straight.
MUNOZ THE MASHER: Carlos Munoz launched his first home run of the season in game two of Friday's doubleheader. The first baseman hit 12 last season between the Appalachian League and the New York-Penn League. Munoz was named Appalachian League Player of the Year for his exploits. 12 home runs in 2015 placed him in a four way tie for third within the Pirates Minor League system, trailing only Stetson Allie and Willy Garcia.
