
Wranglers trade for Borders

Las Vegas, NV â The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the team acquired forward Scott Borders from the San Diego Gulls in exchange for future considerations.
Borders joins Las Vegas after playing 41 games for the Gulls this season, posting seven goals and three assists for ten points. The 23-year old Borders also spent time with the Fresno Falcons and current Wranglers Captain Jason McBain, along with Head Coach / General Manager Glen Gulutzan and Assistant Coach Drew Schoneck. During the 2001-02 season, Borders joined the Falcons in time for the WCHL Taylor Cup Championship. For his career, the Bonnyville, ALTA native has posted 38 goals and 43 assists for 81 points in 163 games. His best professional season came during the 2002-03 season with Fresno. In 69 games played, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound forward posted 19 goals and 19 assists for 38 points. Borders is expected to join the Wranglers in time for the weekend series against Fresno, San Diego and Long Beach.
The Wranglers play at home on Friday, March 11th against Fresno and Saturday, March 12th against the San Diego Gulls at 7:05 pm. Friday night, the first 1,500 fans receive a Wranglers Visor sponsored by KVVU-Fox 5. On Saturday night, "ZOOperstars" will perform at the game. Prior to the game on Saturday, Port of Subs will host the "Port of Subs" pre-game party in the parking lot of the Orleans Arena from 4:00-6:00 pm.
Tickets for all games are on sale now. Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations; The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast and Suncoast, or at the Boulevard, Galleria or Meadows Malls guest relations/ticket centers.
The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue.
