Wranglers receive Power from South Carolina

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that the team completed a "future considerations" trade with the South Carolina Stingrays, obtaining the rights to defenseman Aaron Power. Las Vegas traded center Evan Schwabe to South Carolina in November for future considerations.

Power, will play his fourth professional season this coming October. Power has played most of his three-year career with South Carolina, playing in 139 games for the Stingrays with ten goals and 38 assists for 48 points. The Cambridge, ONT native added 144 penalty minutes over that span. The 24-year old defenseman played 50 games for the American Hockey League's Cleveland Barons last season, scoring four goals and adding three assists for seven points. The 6-foot, 190-pound blueliner also played for the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers in 2004 and the Hamilton Bulldogs 2003. Power won an OHL Championship with the Barrie Colts in 2000.

After playing one game with Las Vegas, Evan Schwabe continued his rookie campaign with the Stingrays, finishing second on the team in scoring with 23 goals and 33 assists for 56 points in 60 games.
