Thunder Finalizes 2005-06 Future Considerations Transactions

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder has announced it has completed three future considerations transactions by sending the rights to defenseman Nick Martens to the Greenville Grrrowl, the rights to defenseman Steve Lecuyer to the Victoria Salmon Kings, and the rights to defenseman Aaron MacInnis to the Augusta Lynx.

Martens completes a Thunder transaction with Greenville on October 22, 2005, involving the Thunder's acquisition of forward Maris Ziedins. Martens, previously under a two-way agreement between the Thunder and the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins, spent the entire 2005-06 season with Grand Rapids, posting 16 points (4g-12a) in 67 games, along with 54 penalty minutes.

Lecuyer completes a Thunder transaction with Victoria on November 10, 2005, involving the Thunder's acquisition of the rights to defenseman Aaron MacInnis. Lecuyer, 23, split the 2005-06 season between the Thunder, Augusta Lynx, and South Carolina Stingrays, appearing in 60 games while posting 66 penalty minutes.

MacInnis completes a Thunder three-way transaction involving Augusta and the Columbia Inferno on December 20, 2005 which included the Thunder's acquisition of left wing Nick Greenough and Columbia's acquisition of Augusta goaltender Trevor Cunning. MacInnis, 27, split the 2005-06 season between the Thunder and Victoria Salmon Kings, appearing in 61 total games while posting a career-high 24 points (7g-17a) and 52 penalty minutes.

An ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Phoenix Coyotes and American Hockey League's San Antonio Rampage, the Thunder drew 228,364 fans to Stockton Arena in its inaugural season, the ECHL's best attendance mark for 2005-06.
