
Wranglers Name New Athletic Trainer

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers® announced that the team hired Scott McLay as the new head athletic trainer.
McLay joins the team for his first season starting in October. The Sudbury, Ontario, Canada native spent the last two years in Bakersfield working for Terrio Therapy-Fitness. While in Bakersfield, McLay primarily worked with Garces Memorial High School, but also filled in with the Bakersfield Condors hockey team. The 32-year old spent 2004-05 working for HealthSouth Las Vegas at Centennial High School. McLay received a master degree in sports management from Webber International University in 2004. The first-year Wrangler graduated from Lake Superior State University in 2002. McLay becomes the team's third athletic trainer, replacing Chris Testino who left after the 2006-07 season.
The Wranglers are expected to make more announcements regarding player signings over the next few weeks. Defensemen Aaron Power, Gerry Burke, Jason Krischuk and Jason Jozsa, as well as forward Brandon Kaleniecki have all agreed to terms for the 2007-08 season.
Individual game tickets are now on sale. Fans may purchase tickets on the Wranglers team website at www.lasvegaswranglers.com or the Orleans Arena website (www.orleansarena.com). Fans may also purchase tickets at any of the following locations in the valley: Galleria Mall, Orleans Casino showroom box office, Gold Coast Casino showroom box office and the Suncoast Casino showroom box office. The Wranglers play all 36 home games at the Orleans Arena, located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Avenue. Las Vegas will host Opening Night on Sunday, October 21st at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena. The Wranglers will host the Bakersfield Condors at 7:05 pm on Thursday, October 11th in a preseason game.
