Victoria, BC - The Las Vegas Wranglers (42-10-6, 90 points) beat the Victoria Salmon KIngs (19-32-7, 45 points) 6-2 at the Save on Foods Memorial Centre on Wednesday night. Victoria native Sean O'Connor and center Matt Dzieduszycki each scored twice to lead Las Vegas to victory. Right wing Marco Peluso and Dan Tudin each added a goal as the Wranglers improved to 20-8-3 on the road. Defenseman Mike McBain and right wing Steve Crampton each dished out two assists as the Wranglers improved to 2-0-1 against Victoria this season. Making his 18th consecutive start, goalie Marc Magliarditi made 21 saves for his team-record, 30th win of the season. The Wranglers stay in Victoria, continuing their three-game series with the Salmon Kings on Friday at 7:00 pm.

In the first period, Las Vegas jumped out to a 3-1 lead with two goals by Sean O'Connor and another by Matt Dzieduszycki. O'Connor, a Victoria native, notched the first goal of the night just 1:54 into the opening period with a power-play tally. The Wranglers added to their lead at 14:33 when O'Connor redirected a centering pass from Shawn Limpright for his 14th goal of the season and a 2-0 Las Vegas lead. Center Matt Dzieduszycki's one-timer at 16:12 beat B.J. Boxma and extended the Wranglers lead to 3-0. Dzieduszycki became the first player in team history to score 30 goals in one season. Victoria's Steve Lingren put the Salmon Kings on the board with only 11-seconds remaining in the first period for the 3-1 score. Former Wrangler Adam Huxley assisted on the goal.

In the second period, Marco Peluso scored a power-play goal at 13:18, pushing Las Vegas lead to 4-1. Peluso's 12th of the season was scored off a rebound from a Mike McBain shot from the point.

In the third period, Las Vegas pushed the lead to four goals with their third power-play goal of the night. Defenseman Steve Marr sent a cross-ice pass to the left-wing circle for Dzieduszycki, who fired home his 31st goal of the season at 3:41. Victoria's Steve Roberts added a late goal at 16:04, trimming the Wranglers lead to 5-2. Las Vegas would regain the four-goal lead as Steve Crampton set up Dan Tudin for his 26th of the season and the 6-2 final score.

The Wranglers continue their season-long, nine-game road trip with two more games in Victoria on Friday and Saturday. The Wranglers stop in Phoenix before returning home on March 17th to host the Alaska Aces for a three-game series. On Friday March 17th, the Wranglers will wear specialty jerseys for St. Patrick's Day. The jerseys, sponsored by McMullan's Irish Pub, the official Irish Pub of the Las Vegas Wranglers, will be available for purchase through a silent auction on the concourse during the game.

Bright orange hunting vests with the slogan "DON'T SHOOT, I'M HUMAN" will be given to the first 1,000 fans that attend the Las Vegas Wranglers game on Friday, March 17, the Wranglers announced today. The vest will also feature a Wranglers' logo.

Playoff tickets are now available for the 2006 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Fans may purchase a strip of tickets that will include every home playoff game for as little as $200.00 per seat. Fans may obtain playoff ticket information from the Wranglers' front office by calling 702-471-7825 (PUCK). Wranglers season ticket holders and mini-plan holders have the first right of refusal for there seats.

Tickets for all games are on sale now. Fans may purchase seats to all Wranglers home games at any of the following ticket locations: The Orleans Arena Box Office, Coast Casinos' showroom box offices at The Orleans, Gold Coast, South Coast and Suncoast, or at the Galleria Mall guest relations/ticket centers.
