Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced the 2007-08 Training Camp Roster.
"We feel we are in a rebuilding year," said Wranglers General Manager / Head Coach Glen Gulutzan. "We have a good core of players who should provide leadership for a lot of the young players that we have here. We have a lot of players trying out this year, so the competition in camp should be pretty fierce. Our goal is the same as it is every year, we are aiming for a playoff berth and the Kelly Cup."
The roster features 23 players, including seven defensemen, one goalie and 15 forwards. Las Vegas returns ten players from last year's squad that posted a league-best 46-12-14 record. The team features four veteran players with defenseman Jason Jozsa, as well as forwards Peter Ferraro, Chris Ferraro and Shawn Limpright. Aside from Limpright and Jozsa, other returnees include: defensemen Jason Krischuk, and Aaron Power, forwards Tyler Mosienko, Marco Peluso, Kelly Czuy, Adam Cracknell and Ryan Donally. All-Star goalie Mike McKenna rounds out the list of returning players.
A handful of experienced forwards and a defenseman will suit up for the Wranglers this season. Defenseman Sean Owens and Gerry Burke both bring a wealth of skill and experience to the blueline. Second-year forwards Bruce Mulherin and Brandon Kaleniecki should provide offense up front for Las Vegas. The squad also features seven rookies starting with defensemen Tyson Strachan and Jason Dest. Rookie forwards Matt Beaudoin, Curtis Fraser, Matt Byrnes, Thomas Harrison, and Josh Sciba round out the roster.
