Salmon Kings Kick Start Season With Blue / Gold Intra-squad Game

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today their annual Blue/Gold Intra-Squad Game will kick start their 2007-08 ECHL season on Tuesday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Everyone is welcome as admission is FREE to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on this night! Bring your family and friends and watch the players battle it out for a spot on this year's roster. The Salmon Kings are poised to begin this season with a bang after last season's nine-game-winning streak to finish their schedule and a trip to the Kelly Cup Playoffs!

"The Blue/Gold game is an instrumental tool in helping us evaluate the players," Mark Morrison Head Coach said. "We expect it to be a highly competitive hockey game as the players are fighting for their jobs."

If that is not enough, there will be hot dogs for only $1.00 each for this night only! For a great night of free entertainment and Dollar Dogs make sure you don't miss out on action!

The Salmon Kings take on the defending Brabham Cup champions, Las Vegas Wranglers, for the Home Opener Series at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Oct 26 and 27.
