September 28, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas, NV – The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today the signing of left wing Dana Lattery for the 2004-05 season.

"This is a player I am very excited to have coming to the Wranglers", said Head Coach / General Manager Glen Gulutzan. "He has a tremendous amount of leadership ability for a first-year guy. I think he will be a valued part of our success here in Las Vegas."

Lattery turns pro after a four-year career at Western Michigan University with 120 points (65 goals, 55 assists) in 140 collegiate games. Lattery led the team in goal scoring his sophomore (19), junior (19) and senior seasons (16. The 24-year old also finished in the top two for the Broncos in penalty minutes each of his final three seasons, and compiled 218 for his collegiate career. The 6-foot, 215-pound forward led the Broncos with a +10 rating last season. The Cochrane, ALTA native was the captain of Western Michigan from his sophomore season through his senior season.

"I'm excited to come to come play in Las Vegas", said Lattery. "Over the summer I developed a good relationship with Coach Gulutzan and I am excited to play for him. I was comfortable with him and I think that's important because it makes you want to compete that much harder for your coach. I have heard great things about Las Vegas and I can't think of a better place to start my pro career."

With the addition of Lattery, the Wranglers total roster of signed players for the 2004-05 season is now thirteen. The Wranglers have goalie Marc Magliarditi, defensemen Jason McBain, Mike McBain, Troy Smith, Regan Darby and Jon Krall signed. Forwards Morten Ask, Jeff Attard, Doug Wright, Dan Tudin, Cam McCaffrey and Chris Stanley are also under contract for the 2004-05 season. Las Vegas is also expecting their NHL Affiliate Calgary Flames to assign up to seven players in the upcoming weeks.

The Wranglers will give their fans a sneak preview of the season when they host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies for two preseason games on October 15th and 16th at 7:05 pm.
