Quad City Mallards News Release
MOLINE, Ill. - Games two and four of the World Series will be shown on the iWireless Center video wall during the Quad City Mallards' home games tomorrow night and Saturday night, the Mallards announced today.
Tomorrow evening's 6:35 p.m. game between the Mallards and Missouri Mavericks and Saturday night's 7:05 p.m. tilt between the Mallards and Tulsa Oilers will coincide with the second and fourth games of the World Series, both of which will start at 7:08 p.m. To accommodate fans of the Chicago Cubs- and the Cleveland Indians- attending this week's Mallards games, the World Series games will be played on the iWireless Center's brand new 1,125 square foot video wall.
"For many Mallards fans who also love the Cubs, seeing the Cubs in the World Series is a once in a lifetime event, so we're happy to give those fans the chance to watch games two and four of this historic World Series on the iWireless Center's fantastic new video wall while also rooting on the Mallards," said Mallards president Bob McNamara.
Fans wearing Cubs or Indians apparel to this week's Mallards games will receive $5 off the price of a ticket at the iWireless Center box office. In addition, Mallards season ticket holders who don Cubs or Indians gear while attending either Wednesday or Saturday night's game will receive a voucher good for a free ticket to a future Mallards game.
Saturday night's game will also feature a Halloween costume contest- fans of all ages are invited to wear their scariest, funniest or freakiest costumes- as well as in-arena trick-or-treating for younger fans.
Single game tickets for all Mallards regular season home games- including this week's games- are on sale now at the iWireless Center box office, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and Ticketmaster charge-by-phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000 .
