PRINCETON, N.J. - Brandon Halverson of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 17-23.

The 20-year-old went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 1.46 goals-against average and a save percentage of .923 in two appearances last week.

Halverson made 27 saves in a 2-0 win at Norfolk on Wednesday to record his first professional win and stopped 21 shots in a 4-3 overtime win at South Carolina on Saturday.

Selected by the New York Rangers in the second round (59th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Halverson is 2-1-0 in three appearances this season and ranks sixth among ECHL goaltenders with a 1.97 goals-against average and is fifth with 183 minutes played.

Prior to turning pro, the native of Traverse City, Mich. saw action in 112 games with Sault Ste. Marie of the Ontario Hockey League, posting a career record of 72-27-7 with eight shutouts, a 2.83 goals-against average and a save percentage of .909.

Runners Up: Jake Paterson, Toledo (2-0-0, 2.50 GAA, .930 save pct.) and Scott Greenham, Wichita (1-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .975 save pct.).

Also Nominated: Kent Simpson (Colorado), Pat Nagle (Fort Wayne), Eric Levine (Indy), Eetu Laurikainen (Norfolk), Jamie Phillips (Tulsa) and Ryan Faragher (Utah).
