Wausau Woodchucks News Release
Game One
The Wisconsin Woodchucks finished game one of the weekend series today after it was suspended in the fifth inning last night due to rain. Last night the Woodchucks got things going with the bats quickly as catcher Isaac Quinones delivered an RBI single to give the Chucks a 1-0 lead after two.
The Chucks added two more runs in the 5th inning with Jaren Shelby coming home to score on a wild pitch.
The Bullfrogs answered in the bottom of the 5th inning with a run to make it 3-1 after five and then added two in the bottom of the 6th to tie the game at 3-3.
The Woodchucks got a big run coming home on wild pitch in the top of the 8th inning to take a 4-3 lead after eight, and that would remain the score for the game.
Game Two
The Wisconsin Woodchucks dropped game two of today's double header and the series to the Green Bay Bullfrogs 4-0. The Bullfrogs struck early, earning 3 runs in the 2nd and the Woodchucks couldn't catch up. The closest they would come was when had the bases loaded in the 3rd but left all three stranded on base.
