
Dock Spiders Fall 3-1 to Mallards

FOND DU LAC, WI- The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders (32-21) fell in the hands of the Madison Mallards (38-16) for the second straight day a score of 3-1.
Madison was able to pick up the first run of the ball game in the 3rd inning. Sam Hubbe (Butler) got the start for Fondy and made it 6 innings allowing eight hits, two runs, and dished out five strikeouts.
The only run for the Dock Spiders would be scored when Duncan Hewitt (Butler) would reach first on an error sending Jack Wassel (Minnesota) home.
Fond du Lac was only able to generate four hits compared to the Mallards eleven. Fondy will reset after getting swept by the Mallards by having the next three days off due to the Northwoods League All Star Break. Jon Young (Indiana Wesleyan) and Michael Hope (Shippensburg) will head to Kalamazoo to represent the Dock Spiders in the All Star Game.
Fond dy Lac will next play next Thursday at Athletic Park in Wausau against the Wisconsin Woodchucks at 6:35 PM.
