Woodchucks Lose Series Finale to Booyah, 5-2

GREEN BAY, WI - The Woodchucks lost the final game of a four-game series against the Green Bay Booyah on Thursday night, 5-2. Green Bay scored five runs in the middle innings of the game, and Woodchucks were unable to overcome the deficit.

The Chucks collected both their runs in the sixth inning. Caleb Denny launched his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot to get Wisconsin on the board. Sayer Diedrich then collected an RBI with a sacrifice fly, bringing home Adam Frank.

Nate Madej got the start, and the loss for the Woodchucks. He allowed five runs, four of which were earned. He became the first Woodchucks starting pitcher of the season to get through six innings, striking out eight batters. Steven Lacey and Hunter Rosenbaum each tossed scoreless innings for Wisconsin after Madej's departure.

Top Performers

Leighton Banjoff was 3-4 with two doubles.

Caleb Denny went 1-2 with a homer and two walks.

Next Up

The Woodchucks will remain on the road for the next two days, playing at La Crosse. The Chucks will return home on Sunday with a day-long affair against Fond du Lac. Starting at 1:05, Wisconsin will play the remainder of a suspended game from July 2nd. That will be followed by a previously-scheduled game against the Dock Spiders.
