Wolves Wives Ask Fans to Pucker Up

February 3, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves' wives will be selling exclusive Valentine's Day autographed pucks during their annual fundraiser at home games on Wed., Feb. 9; Fri., Feb. 11; and Sat., Feb. 12.

The special wrapped pucks, which contain candy and the autograph of a surprise Wolves player, can be purchased for $10. Fans who purchase a puck that has the Wolves player's name signed in gold will have the chance to meet that player after the game. The Wolves wives will be in the East, North and South Concourses of the Allstate Arena selling the pucks.

In addition, fans can bid on various items in the East Lobby such as a team-autographed stick and team-autographed jersey, the chance to have lunch with left wing Karl Stewart and goaltender Michael Garnett, and dinner with right wing Ben Simon and his wife Beth, defenseman Travis Roche and his wife Darcie, or center Cory Larose and his wife Jody.

The bidding will begin when doors open for the Wed., Feb. 9 game against the Utah Grizzlies and ends at the end of the second intermission of the Sat., Feb. 12 contest against the Houston Aeros.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to charities associated with former Wolves center Dan Snyder and the Y-Me Breast Cancer Organization. Snyder, a member of the 2002 Calder Cup Championship team who spent two seasons with Chicago (2001-2003), passed away on Oct. 5, 2003, six days after suffering major head injuries in a car accident.
