
Crunch Sign Defenseman Nikita Korovkin to a P.T.O.

Syracuse, NY (February 3, 2005) â The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Nikita Korovkin to a professional tryout contract.
Korovkin, 21, has appeared in 39 games with the San Diego Gulls (ECHL) this season, recording 6 goals, 9 assists and 24 penalty minutes. In 246 career Western Hockey League (WHL) games with Kamloops and Tri City, Korovkin tallied 33 goals, 71 assists and 305 penalty minutes. A native of Zlatoust, Russia, Korovkin was originally selected by the Philadelphia Flyer in the sixth round, 192nd overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
The Crunch hosts San Antonio on Wednesday, February 9. Game time is 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, at the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
