WOLVES HEADLINERS

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Named the 2007 AHL MVP after leading the league with a career-high 122 points, tied for the second-highest single-season output in franchise history ... Paced the league with a career-best 81 assists - the second-highest total in the club's 13-year existence - and tied for third with a career-most 41 goals ... Posted a point in 63 of his 73 games this season, which includes 36 with two or more

--- BRETT STERLING: Named the 2007 AHL Rookie of the Year after potting a league-high 55 goals, the fourth-highest single-season output in club history ... Led AHL rookies and ranked fourth overall with 97 points in 77 tilts ... Notched a league-best 21 power-play markers, the most by a Chicago player in eight years ... Recorded three of the squad's six hat tricks this season

--- JASON KROG: Recorded at least one point in 41 of his 44 matchups with Chicago this season, which includes 23 with two or more ... Ranked fifth in the AHL with a career-high 54 assists and shared seventh with a career-most 80 points despite missing more than two months (Dec. 13 to Feb. 19) due to NHL recall

--- CORY LAROSE: Ranked fourth in the AHL with a career-high 61 assists in 63 games, the most by a center in franchise history ... Tallied a career-most 83 points, which ranked fifth in the league

PLAYOFF POST-ITS

Chicago will open its 12th playoff season in 13 years when they battle the third-seed Milwaukee Admirals at the Allstate Arena on Fri., April 20 at 7:30 p.m. The Wolves have recorded a 15-1 mark in playoff series that begin at home, with the only loss coming in the 2005 Calder Cup Finals against Philadelphia, the squad's last appearance in the postseason.

WOLF TRACKS

--- Chicago registered a 4-5-0-1 mark in its 10-game regular-season series against Milwaukee, which includes a 4-1-0-0 mark at the Bradley Center.

--- The Wolves have earned series wins in two of their three all-time postseason matchups against the Admirals.

--- Rookie BRETT STERLING joined retired forward Steve Maltais as just the second Wolves player to lead a league in goals while right wing DARREN HAYDAR joined Maltais and Rob Brown as the third Chicago player to capture a league scoring title.

--- Chicago finished the season with 101 points, 17 more than the 2005-06 campaign and the fifth time in franchise history the squad cracked the century mark in points.

--- The Wolves lit the lamp a franchise-record 331 times this season, the most in the AHL and 26 more than the next closest squad; Chicago also established a club record with a league-best 112 power-play markers.

--- Chicago matched both an AHL and franchise record by posting 27 road wins this season (27-8-2-3).

ON THE PLUS SIDE

Wolves defenseman BRIAN SIPOTZ established a franchise record with his AHL-best +34 plus/minus rating, the first time a Chicago player has led the league in that category. SIPOTZ posted a plus or even rating in 60 of his 72 outings and racked up 10 assists and 12 points this season.

WOLVES REWIND (2-1-0-0)

Sun., April 15 Omaha 4, (at) Chicago 2
--- The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights jumped out to an early lead with two first-period power-play goals on the way to earning the West Division title with a 4-2 win over the Wolves at the Allstate Arena
--- Center CORY LAROSE potted both of Chicago's goals while linemate NIKO DIMITARKOS tallied two assists
--- Netminder MICHAEL GARNETT recorded 29 saves

Sat., April 14 (at) Chicago 5, Iowa 0
--- Chicago opened the scoring midway through the first period and never looked back, shutting out the Iowa Stars, 5-0, at the Allstate Arena
--- Right wing DARREN HAYDAR posted four points (G, 3A), while linemates JASON KROG (3A) and BRETT STERLING (2G) also chipped in multiple points
--- Goaltender FRED BRATHWAITE notched his second shutout win of the season, posting 20 saves

Fri., April 13 Chicago 4, (at) Milwaukee 3 (SO)
--- The Wolves scored twice in a 31-second span in the first period to grab a 2-1 lead before hanging on to defeat the Milwaukee Admirals, 4-3, in the shootout at the Bradley Center
--- Linemates DARREN HAYDAR (G, A), JASON KROG (2A) and BRETT STERLING (G, A) led the way with two points apiece
--- Netminder MICHAEL GARNETT registered 22 saves in regulation and overtime and thwarted all four shootout attempts
