Wolves Shut-Out
January 25, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Sudbury Wolves News Release
The Sudbury Wolves could only manage 15 shots on goal in North Bay on Sunday as the Bay skated-away with a convincing 6-0 victory over the Wolves. Jake Smith recorded the shut-out for the Bay while Troy Timpano went the distance in goal for the Wolves. Timpano stopped 32 of the 38 shots that he faced in the Wolves net as the Ajax native had to make a number of big saves. North Bay have now won all five games with Sudbury so far this season. The teams will meet three more times this season.
The Battalion scored one goal on three power play chances while the Wolves had one power play chance in the game. The Battalion were without the services of Nick Moutrey, one of their top forwards, recently acquired from the Saginaw Spirit. The Wolves were without the services of defencemen Trenton Bourque and Austin Clapham. The Battalion added Ryan Kujawinski and Nick Moutrey at the trade deadline to bolster their line-up for another run at the OHL Championship title. The Battalion line-up looks to be one of the best line-ups in the OHL this season and one of the very best line-ups that the Battalion franchise has enjoyed in their 18 year history in the OHL.
The Wolves will be looking to earn their first win in 2015 on Wednesday night when they host the first-place Barrie Colts. Game time is 7 pm at the Sudbury arena. Wednesday's game is sponsored by PETRYNA ADVERTISING - the official design house of the Sudbury Wolves.
