Wolves Host Battalion Friday

(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Pack is Back and Ready to RUN this Friday night as your Sudbury Wolves host the North Bay Battalion in the first game of a home-and- home series at 7:05pm at the Sudbury Community Arena.

The Wolves will be looking to rebound from a pair of road losses and build off their strong home record.

The Wolves are coming off a big 2-1 home victory over the Niagara IceDogs last Friday. Wolves Captain and Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Jack Thompson continues to lead both the OHL defencemen and Wolves squad in scoring with 16 points in 14 games. New Jersey Devils prospect Chase Stillman returned to the line-up this past weekend tallying a point per game and leads the team in goals (7). Three Wolves rookies also sit in the top 10 in OHL first year players with 11 points each through 13 games.

The Battalion currently sit first in the Eastern Conference and are led by San Jose Sharks prospect Brandon Coe who has 21 points in 14 games. Centre Kyle Jackson and Edmonton Oilers prospect Matvey Petrov round out the Battalions top three in scoring with 19 and 18 points respectively.

Friday's game is sponsored by Tim Hortons. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive $2.00 Tim cards.

Three lucky fans will have the chance to win $50 Tims Cards and one lucky fan will have the chance to win free coffee for a year. Hometown Hockey will also be on hand to drop the puck prior to the game and kick off their Hometown Hockey weekend.

Tickets are on sale now at greatersudbury.ca/tickets and at the Sudbury Arena Box Office. Those attending the box office in person, must wear a mask and maintain social distancing. The Sudbury Arena Box Office will be open Monday to Wednesday from Noon to 4pm and Friday from 9am until the end of the second intermission. The Box Office will be closed Thursday for Remembrance Day. Get your tickets early to avoid the lines! Please note, tickets available online are the same price as the box office, so save time and buy online. Fans are encouraged to come to the arena early as COVID-19 safety precautions are in place that may take some extra time. The doors will open at 5:50pm. The health and safety of all our fans, players, staff and volunteers is of utmost importance.

A vaccination policy is in effect. Fans 12+ will be required to show their vaccine receipt from their second dose, along with photo ID upon entrance with their ticket. Fans must be fully vaccinated for a minimum of 14 days. Unvaccinated youth 11 and under must be accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult in order to gain entry. The Wolves and Battalion will complete the home-and-home series on Sunday afternoon at 2:05pm when they visit North Bay Memorial Gardens. The Wolves will look to improve on their road record.
