Wolves Fight Until the End, Drop Contest to Warriors

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (7-13) dropped a 107-105 back-and-forth battle to the Santa Cruz Warriors (14-5) Thursday night at Wells Fargo Arena.

The heavily contested game included 22 lead changes.

Iowa led 105-103 with 57.4 seconds remaining after back-to-back three-pointers made by two-way guard Jared Terrell. Santa Cruz responded with four consecutive points and held the Wolves scoreless in the game's final possession to earn the win.

Terrell finished with a team-high 18 points while hauling in six boards. Five players finished with 12 or more points for Iowa, including William Lee's 15-point, 15-rebound performance.

As a team the Wolves shot 47.2% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point line.

Canyon Barry added 16 points while shooting 3-of-4 from deep and 4-of-5 from the charity stripe. NBA veteran Hakim Warrick posted 17 points on 7-of-8 shooting.

Kendrick Nunn came off the bench for Santa Cruz to score a game-high 24 points, including the go-ahead shot with 7.7 seconds remaining in Thursday night's contest.

As a team the Warriors shot well above their season average from the three-point line, knocking down 14-of-32 (43.8%) from distance.

The Wolves square off against the Warriors in a rematch tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. from Wells Fargo Arena.
