
Chicago Bulls Sign Brandon Sampson to Two-Way Contract

EDINBURG, Texas - The Chicago Bulls announced today that the team has signed guard Brandon Sampson to a two-way contract. Sampson is the second call-up of the season for the Vipers, giving them a total of 31 overall.
Sampson (6-5, 184) was eligible for the 2018 NBA Draft following his junior season at LSU. He was playing for the Houston Rockets single-affiliation G League Partner, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, prior to being called up by the Bulls on Dec. 21. Sampson thus far has averaged 17.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on an average of 35.2 minutes of play for the Vipers. His season-high has been 31 points on Dec. 5 at Agua Caliente. Prior to the signing, Sampson dropped 21 points versus Long Island Nets on Dec. 20 at the G League Winter Showcase.
Prior to RGV, Sampson played for LSU where he averaged 11.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 27.5 minutes of play as a sophomore. He averaged 7.7 points per game as a junior.
