Chicago Wolves News Release

MILWAUKEE - Chicago suffered its third-straight one-goal loss with a 2-1 setback to Milwaukee in an Amtrak Rivalry game Tuesday night from the Bradley Center.

Jordan Caron scored for the fifth time in seven games as Chicago (11-10-1-2) dropped its third consecutive game to Milwaukee after taking the Amtrak series opener.

Milwaukee (17-8-1-0) capitalized on the power play to open a 1-0 first-period lead. Trevor Murphy's drop pass found Kevin Fiala streaking into the slot. Fiala snapped a wrister from the faceoff dot to beat Wolves goaltender Pheonix Copley over the shoulder.

Chicago built a 10-4 shot advantage in the second period and scored on the power play to pull even at the 13:20 mark. Jordan Caron accepted a pass from Andre Benoit off the back boards, and from the side of the net, whirled and banked a shot off a Milwaukee skater into the goal.

Admiral right winger Pontus Aberg provided the game-winner just 1:05 into the third period, one-timing a shot from close range. The Wolves pulled Copley for an extra skater in the final minute, but were unable to score.

Copley (5-6-1) made 20 saves in his first game against the Admirals. Milwaukee netminder Juuse Saros (11-3-0) finished with 23 saves.

The Wolves return to Allstate Arena this Thursday, Dec. 17, for an 11 a.m. School-Day Game against the Texas Stars. Looking for a great deal for the holidays? Grab the Howliday Flex Pack by visiting ChicagoWolves.com or call 1-800-THE-WOLVES.
