Penguins Recall Harrison Ruopp

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that defenseman Harrison Ruopp has been reassigned by the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton from the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).

In 23 games with Wheeling this season, Ruopp earned two goals and two assists for four points and 55 penalty minutes.

Ruopp made the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton roster out of training camp, but did not appear in any of the Penguins' four games to start the season before being reassigned to the Nailers.

The third-year pro has previously played in 28 regular season games for the Penguins over the course of the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons.
