Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Milwaukee, WI - Admirals goalie Juuse Saros stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced to help guide the Admirals to a 2-1 win over the Chicago Wolves in Amtrak Rivalry action Tuesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

The win for Saros was his 10th in his past 11 starts and upped his season record to 11-3.

The Admirals got on the board first when Kevin Fiala picked up his third goal of the season at the 8:01 mark of the first. Fiala came into the Chicago zone with speed, took a pass from Trevor Murphy, and fired a wrister from the left dot over the shoulder of Wolves goalie Phoenix Cople.

The score stayed that way until late in the second period when Jordan Caron converted a Wolves power-play goal to knot the score at one.

However the Ads regained the lead just 1:05 into the third period on a Pontus Aberg tally. Vladislav Kamenev came behind the Chicago net, zipped a pass in the reverse direction and over to Aberg on the left dot. Aberg fired a one-timer from a tight angle into the Chicago net before Copley could recover from Kamenev's move.

The Wolves applied significant pressure late in the third period, but Saros and the Admirals defense held strong.

The Admirals look for their third win in a row when the return to action Friday night when they host the Rockford IceHogs at the BMOHBC at 7 pm.
