Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons announced today that the team has released forward Mike Hoeffel from his Professional Tryout Contract.

The 26-year-old Hoeffel appeared in four games with the Falcons this season. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound native of North Oaks, MN has played in 231 career AHL games with the Falcons and Albany Devils registering 28-30-58 and 152 penalty minutes (PIM). Hoeffel was originally drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round (57th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
