Coyotes Assign Cunningham to Springfield

Springfield, MA - Arizona Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have assigned forward Craig Cunningham to the Springfield Falcons. The 25-year-old Cunningham averaged 10:16 of ice time in seven games with the Coyotes. The native of Trail, British Columbia has registered 5-7-12 and 10 penalty minutes (PIM) in 16 games with the Falcons this season before being recalled by the Coyotes on Dec. 11. Cunningham was originally drafted by the Boston Bruins in the fourth round (97th overall) in the 2010 Entry Draft and was acquired by the Coyotes off waivers from Boston on March 2, 2015.

The Falcons play a road game on Wednesday night against the Portland Pirates at 7:00 p.m. The Birds return home to the MassMutual Center next Friday and Saturday for games beginning at 7 p.m. On Saturday, famous National Anthem singer Rene Rancourt will perform the Star Spangled Banner before the game.
