Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will host their ninth annual food drive to benefit the Belvidere Boone County Food Pantry at home games on Sat., Nov. 22; Tue., Nov. 25; Sat., Nov. 29 and Sun., Nov. 30.

Each fan who brings a canned good or non-perishable food item to one of the games will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a $150 gift certificate from Cheeseburger in Paradise in Des Plaines.

"We enjoy helping the Belvidere Boone County Food Pantry because it is a smaller organization and we know that the Wolves donation makes a great impact in their efforts to help the community," said Wolves Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "It is great to see our fans respond. It is a simple gesture, but very important."

Last year, the Wolves collected 2,625 pounds of food at four home games, which provided 1,945 meals for those in need. Overall, the team has donated nearly 10,000 pounds of food in the last eight years.
