HAMILTON, Ontario---The Chicago Wolves and Hamilton Bulldogs traded goals through two periods before the Wolves used two third period markers to lift them to a 5-3 win at Copps Coliseum Tuesday night.
Forwards Spencer Machacek, Angelo Esposito and Michael Davies and defensemen Paul Postma and Mike Siklenka potted goals for Chicago.
Postma cracked a 3-3 deadlock 9:29 into the last frame with a power-play marker when he blasted a shot past Bulldogs netminder Robert Mayer, stick side.
Siklenka one timed a power-play shot from the top of the left faceoff circle 12:10 into the final frame to seal the 5-3 win for the Wolves.
Chicago (18-15-2-1) opened scoring when Machacek slid the puck straight into the net from the crease past Hamilton goaltender Curtis Sanford, 1:16 into the first period.
Sanford posted two saves on three shots before giving way to Mayer at 1:16 of the opening frame.
