January 20, 2003 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will auction game-worn and autographed items on-line to raise money for gastric cancer research in memory of Jennifer Ferraro, wife of Chris Ferraro, a member of the Wolves 2000 Turner Cup Championship team.

Auction items include game-worn jerseys from the 2000 Championship belonging to Chris Ferraro, along with defensemen Gord Dineen and Bob Nardella; sticks autographed by goaltenders Wendell Young and Richard Shulmistra; and a game-worn, autographed helmet belonging to defenseman Libor Ustrnul.

Jennifer Ferraro died on Nov. 5, 2002, in Long Island, N.Y., after a year-long battle with gastric cancer. She was diagnosed during the fall of 2001, just weeks after she and Chris married.

The auction ends at noon on Mon., Jan. 27. For more information, call 1-800-THE-WOLVES or visit chicagowolves.com.
