THIS WEEK...
The Flames enter the week ranked third in the Canadian Division with 34 points and a record of 15 wins, 22 losses, 3 ties and 1overtime loss.
Saint John wraps up a seven game road trip this week visiting the Manitoba Moose for games Tuesday and Wednesday before returning to New Brunswick.
THE OPPONENT...
The MANITOBA MOOSE enter the week ranked second in the Canadian Division with 42 points and a record of 19-21-4-0. The Moose, 3-6-1-0 in their last ten games, are coming off a 6-1 loss at Houston on Sunday.
These mid-week games will be the fifth and sixth of eight meetings between the Canadian Division rivals this season.
Leading Manitoba are left wingers Ryan Ready (14g-18a=32pts) and Steve Kariya (14g-11a=25pts) and centres Brandon Reid (11g-19a=30pts) and Jeff Farkas (11g-14a=25pts).
Tyler Moss and Alex Auld handle the goaltending needs for the Moose. Auld, 11-12-2 through 25 games, posts a 2.47 GAA and a .911 save percentage. Moss, 7-9-2 through 18 games, posts a 3.20 GAA and an .898 save percentage.
Entering the week, Auld ranked 14th among AHL netminders with a 2.47 GAA.

NOTABLES...
Jamie Wright, assigned to Saint John on Wednesday last week, recorded 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) to help the Flames to a 4-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs Friday. Flames netminder Levente Szuper is unbeaten in his last three contests (2-0-1).
Saint John is 4-2-1 in seven games since the appointment of Ron Wilson as head coach January 10th.
Flames forward Jason Morgan recorded 2 assists on Friday marking the 7th time this season he has recorded multiple points in a game.
Having missed 13 games due to injury, Martin Sonnenberg returned to active duty with Saint John on Friday recording 1 goal and 1 assist as the Flame defeated St. John's 4-1.
ALUMNI WATCH...
Many Flames alumni are competing with clubs in Europe this season. Several can be found among the squads in the British SuperLeague. Lee Sorochan (1998/99-1999/00) and Paxton Schulte (1995/96-1997/ 98) are skating with the Belfast Giants, David Struch (1993/94-1995/96) with the Bracknell Bees, and Marc Hussey (1995/96-1996/97), Barry Nieckar (1994/95), Eric Charron (1997/98-1999/00) and Lee Jinman (1999/00) with the with the Nottingham Panthers.

DID YOU KNOW?
The Flames continue their nine game road trip with games in Manitoba on Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22, Bridgeport, January 29 and Provivdence January 31. They do not return to Harbour Station until Saturday, February 1 when they host the Hartford Wolf*Pack.
