WOLF PACK WEEKLY: November 7-13, 2016

The Wolf Pack endured a tough week this past week, with one point in three games. The Pack suffered their first shutout-against on the year Wednesday, in their "Sonar's Edu-skate" school-day game at the XL Center, falling 4-0 to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and then finished a season-high six-game homestand with a 5-4 overtime defeat against Bridgeport on Friday night. In Providence on Saturday evening, the Wolf Pack outshot the Bruins 37-29 but found themselves on the short end of a 6-2 score. Steven Fogarty tallied his first career pro goal in Saturday's game, and Nicklas Jensen had a pair of scores on Friday night.

This week:

The Wolf Pack's first of nine three-game weekends on the season is upcoming, starting Friday night with a visit to Rochester. That game faces off at 7:05 PM, and then the Pack are in Utica Saturday night for a 7:30 start. Sunday finds the Wolf Pack back home at the XL Center, hosting the Atlantic Division-leading Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 5:00.

Friday, November 11 at the Rochester Americans (Buffalo) at the Blue Cross Arena, 7:05 PM

- This is the first of four meetings on the season between the Wolf Pack and the Americans, and the first of two visits by the Wolf Pack to Rochester. In a four-game season series last year, the Pack won the last two meetings after losing the first two, and the clubs split a pair of games at the Blue Cross Arena. That was the first year the Wolf Pack and Amerks had played since the 2001-02 campaign.

- Rochester has split its first ten games, going 5-5-0-0 for ten points, and is .500 both at home (2-2-0-0) and on the road (3-3-0-0).

- Amerks forward Cole Schneider, a former UConn Husky, is tied for the AHL scoring lead with 7-8-15 in ten games.

Saturday, November 12 at the Utica Comets (Vancouver) at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, 7:30 PM

- The Comets enter the week 2-7-1-0 for five points and in seventh place in the North Division.

- Utica won the first matchup between themselves and the Wolf Pack, taking a 4-3 decision at the XL Center October 29. This is the first of two road games in the season series for the Wolf Pack, who swept their two visits to Utica last year.

- Derek Hulak and Jordan Subban had a goal and an assist for the Comets in their 4-3 victory October 29 over the Wolf Pack.

Sunday, November 13 vs. the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh) at the XL Center, 5:00 PM

- The Wolf Pack's new red third jersey will debut with this game, and will be worn for each and every remaining Sunday home game.

- At this and every Wolf Pack Sunday home game of the season, fans can take advantage of the Wolf Pack's "Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack". The Family Value Pack includes two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs, all for just $40.

- Also at every Sunday Wolf Pack home game this season, the first 2,000 fans will receive a "hockey bingo" card. The spaces on these cards contain possibilities that might happen in the game, and if they do, fans can fill in the spaces to win Wolf Pack bingo prizes.

- The Wolf Pack will be having a Thanksgiving food drive at this game. Any fan who brings five or more non-perishable food items for donation will receive a buy-one-get-one-free ticket voucher for use at any 2016-17 Wolf Pack home game.

- Wilkes-Barre/Scranton brought the AHL's best record into this week, sitting at 8-1-1-0 for 17 points through their first ten games.

- This is the Penguins' first of four visits on the year to the XL Center, and the second game of an eight-game season series between the Penguins and Wolf Pack. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton won the first, defeating the Wolf Pack 6-2 October 15 in Wilkes-Barre.

- Penguin points leader Jake Guentzel (5-7-12) leads AHL rookies in points and is tied for the rookie goals lead, and is tied for sixth overall in the league in points. The University of Nebraska-Omaha product had a four-point night in the first meeting of the year between the Penguins and Wolf Pack, with a goal and three assists.

- Tickets for this and all 2016-17 Wolf Pack home games are on sale now at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center, on-line at www.hartfordwolfpack.com and by phone at (877) 522-8499. Tickets purchased in advance for kids 12 or younger are just $10 each, and all tickets will have a $2 day-of-game increase.

Once again this season, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs and $2 beers at every Friday Wolf Pack home game, through the start of the second period. The next Friday-night home game is November 25, when the Pack host the Albany Devils at 7:15 PM.

Each of the Wolf Pack's Sunday and Wednesday home games, as well as the one Tuesday home date, will feature the Wolf Pack's "Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack". The Family Value Pack includes two tickets, two sodas and two hot dogs, all for just $40. The next Family Value Pack game after this Sunday is Wednesday, November 16, when the Wolf Pack battle the Springfield Thunderbirds in a 7:00 PM game.
