Saturday, Nov. 5 STJ 4 vs TOR 1 RECAP Two powerplay goals to kick off the third period were the difference as the IceCaps beat the rival Toronto Marlies a 4-1 win. Mike McCarron picked up his first of the season -- the game winner and Charlie Lindgren made 26 saves in the victory.

TOR 3 vs STJ 2 RECAP The IceCaps battled hard but could not complete the comeback as the Toronto Marlies topped St. John's 3-2 on Sunday afternoon. Stefan Matteau and Chris Terry both scored for the IceCaps; however a goal off a Mike McCarron high-stick was waived off by the referees and it was the difference maker as St. John's lost 3-2.

3 THINGS TO KNOW

Streaking at Home: IceCaps forward Nikita Scherbak registered a point in the first five games at home picking up seven points during that span.

Scherbak failed to register a point Sunday against Toronto.

Streak Snapped: Charlie Lindgren who started the season 6-0 in an IceCaps uniform was handed his first loss of the season Sunday afternoon despite making 28 saves.

Redemption Song: The IceCaps will kick off their six-game road trip Friday against the Thunderbirds.

The IceCaps are looking to avenge a 5-4 OT loss earlier in the season in which they gave up a two-goal lead in the third period.
